U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke Kicks Off Clean Energy Biz Dev in Hong Kong

According to the press release, “U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke arrived in Hong Kong today for the first stop of a clean energy business development trade mission to promote exports of leading U.S. technologies and services related to clean energy, energy efficiency, and electric energy storage, transmission and distribution. The mission will continue through May 26, and make stops in Shanghai and Beijing, China; and Jakarta, Indonesia. This is the first cabinet-level trade mission of the Obama Administration.
Locke is joined by a U.S. business delegation of 24 executives for the China portion of the trade mission.
Announced just a few months after President Obama unveiled details of his National Export Initiative (NEI), the mission aims to advance the president’s goal of doubling U.S. exports within five years to support job growth.”
