Greens Getting Major Green Funding from Federal Government

E nergy companies are notorious for getting tax breaks and incentives from the federal government. A CBO report was recently released detailing that in 2011, federal subsidies for green energy amounted to US$ 24 billion. Between 2009 and 2012, the US Department of Energy gave out US$ 25 billion in loans to “primarily to producers of advanced vehicles, generators of solar power, and manufacturers of solar equipment.”
