indiaflag India Bans its Airlines From Complying with EU Carbon Tax SchemesThe European Union has created a carbon levy on air travel that starts after January 1; however, no airlines will face a carbon bill until 2013. This is after the carbon emissions have been totaled. Following China, India has barred its airlines from complying with the EU carbon tax scheme. China came to the same decision last month. The EU is not backing down from the plan.
