Summary BioSolar, Inc., incorporated on April 24, 2006, is engaged in developing a technology to produce bio-based materials from renewable plant sources that reduce the cost per watt of Photovoltaic solar modules. The Company is developing a dimension of cost reduction by replacing petroleum-based plastic solar module components with durable bio-based components. The Company is focusing its research and product development efforts on producing bio-based components that meet the thermal and durability requirements of solar module manufacturing processes for conventional crystalline cell designs, as well as thin film photovoltaic (PV) devices. It is also focusing its research and product development efforts on bio-based backsheets, substrates, superstrates, module and panel components.
