Sunpower Corporation. The Group’s principal activities are to design, manufacture and sell solar power products based on proprietary processes and technologies. The Group develops solar cells, which are semiconductor devices that directly convert sunlight into electricity. It offers solar power products including solar cells, solar panels and inverters which convert sunlight to electricity compatible with the utility network. It also offer imaging detectors based on the solar power technology primarily for medical imaging applications. The Group operates in Spain, the United States, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Canada, Japan, Portugal, Greece, France and Australia. In January 2008 and July 2008, it acquired Solar Solutions and Solar Sales Pty Ltd.
